NFL Draft order 2024: Updated list of picks for every team after wild-card playoffs

Most of the 2024 NFL Draft order was set following Week 18 of the 2023 season, and many NFL fans believed they had a good idea of how the rest of it would come together during the 2024 NFL playoffs.

However, a couple of major upsets of NFC East teams have altered the projected draft order significantly.

The most seismic shakeup came when the NFC's No. 2 seed, the Cowboys, were soundly defeated by the Packers in the first-ever win by a No. 7 seed in NFL history. Dallas struggled immensely in all aspects of the game, trailing by as much as 27 points before making the 16-point defeat seem closer in garbage time.

Dallas had been projected to secure one of the final four picks in the first round of the draft, but they will move up to No. 24 overall as a result of their defeat. They will still be picking two selections behind the Eagles, who were also upset in the wild-card round.

The Eagles were the lower seed in their matchup against the Buccaneers, but with two more wins, it was expected that Philly would be able to dispatch Tampa Bay. Instead, Todd Bowles' defense flustered Jalen Hurts all night, and he struggled to find reliable weapons outside of DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert with A.J. Brown out of action.

As a result, the Eagles had an early exit and will now face questions about the direction of their franchise following a 1-6 close to the season.

The elimination of the Rams, Steelers, Dolphins and Browns brought further clarity to the draft order.

NFL Draft 2024 top prospects

Quarterbacks will likely be taken early and often atop the 2024 NFL Draft. Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are viewed by many as the favorites to be the first two passers selected while LSU's Jayden Daniels is also in the running to be a top-five pick. Several other quarterbacks could crack the first round, but varying draft grades may drop some to Day 2.

While quarterbacks will be the top story, per usual, Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. may be the draft's best player. The wide-out is viewed by many as a star-in-the-making at his position, so he may end up being the top non-quarterback selected. LSU's Malik Nabers is another top receiving weapon who looks like a top-10 pick while Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is also getting high first-round buzz.

Penn State's Olu Fashanu and Notre Dame's Joe Alt stand out among the top tackles in the draft. Each should be selected within the top 10 or just after. And among defensive players, Alabama's Dallas Turner and UCLA's Laiatu Latu figure to be among the top players selected.
