Among the most valuable cards to release are special promotional cards, exceptionally rare variants, and exclusive releases available only to a select few. Let’s take a look at some of the most valuable cards you can find in the game.

These prices are gathered from TCGplayer’s Market Value and are subject to fluctuations over time.

10 Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy

Alternate Art - $137.70

Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy Alternate Art by Cookie

Peter Pan's diminutive friend isn't so small anymore, thanks to the Floodborn version of Tinker Bell from The First Chapter. This alternate art version of Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy is the Enchanted rare version of the Super Rare, making it much harder to find in packs.

This Steel Ink variant is a strong card that can come down quickly thanks to its shift ability, but you'll likely want to stick this card in a binder or safely away to keep it in top condition.

9 Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer

Alternate Art - $142.40

Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer Alternate art by Cam Kendell

Everyone loves Mickey Mouse and one of his most iconic roles was as a wizard in the 1940 film Fantasia. Since then, Mickey has learned a few new tricks and brought them with him to Lorcana. Swapping out his classic blue robes and red hat for a more fashionable purple hooded cloak, this Mickey Mouse is plenty of tricks up his sleeves.

The Wayward Sorcerer might not be the most playable card on this list, requiring you to build around Broom cards, but it still demands a high value given its Enchanted status and beautiful alternate artwork.

8 Stitch, Carefree Surfer

Alternate Art - $155.57

Stitch, Carefuful Surfer Alternate Artwork by Milica Celikovic

There are few if any other cards in Lorcana that have more fun artwork than Stitch, and that’s no more evident than with the alternate art version of Stitch, Carefree Surfer. The artwork has the little blue alien surfing and hanging out with a little fish eating a sandwich.

Steel and Amethyst come together in Disney Lorcana's starter deck, with Merlin and Tiana helping to win the game.

While all Enchanted cards go for a high value, it's even more so for cards like Stitch, Carefree Surfer where the card is played in competitive decks. Stitch’s high stats and ability to refill your hand if you have other characters out make it a coveted card.

7 Belle, Strange But Special

Alternate Art - $156.13

Belle, Strange but Special alternate art by Valerio Buonfantino

Combining ramp and a win-condition all in one card, Belle, Strange but Special is a fantastic card for anyone playing a Sapphire deck. At just four Ink, Belle comes down quickly, letting you play an extra card into your inkwell on your turn.

Then, if you have ten or more cards in your inkwell, Belle quests for a total of five lore, putting you halfway to victory in one turn. The alternate artwork for Belle, in her golden dress from the animated film, is an amazing piece to own for collectors and fans of the film.

6 Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation

Alternate Art - $189.89

Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation alternate artwork by Casey Robin

While not the strongest card on this list, the alternate art version of Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation is a gorgeous card that certainly deserves its place as one of the more valuable Lorcana cards. From the Rise of the Floodborn expansion, this version of the card evokes the classic Disney animation feel with the bright gold and silver artwork.

What helps this Cinderella card along in playability is that you can use it to play Cinderella, Stouthearted a few turns earlier thanks to the more costly card’s shift ability. If you’re playing any Songs while you’re at it, Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation lets you exert Cinderella, so she counts for three when you cast your Song, which is a nice little bonus to your deck.

5 Elsa, Spirit Of Winter

Alternate Art - $415.99

Elsa, Spirit of Winter alternate artwork by Matthew Robert Davies

An amazing alternate art version of Elsa, Spirit of Winter from The First Chapter, this card marks the first big jump in terms of value for Lorcana cards. The Enchanted version of Elsa depicts her fully embracing her powers, sending ice magic all over the place with her innate skill.

Storyborn characters are classic additions with useful abilities.

Elsa, Spirit of Winter is a powerful top end card for Amethyst decks. It comes down early thanks to its shift ability, letting you play it for six ink instead of its usual eight. Then, it takes two of your opponent's characters out of the game for a bit, exerting them and not letting them exert on their owner’s next turn.

4 Elsa, Snow Queen

D23 Promos - $500.00

Elsa, Snow Queen D23 Promo by Nicholas Kole

As part of a special promotional event at the Disney Expo 2023, some fans were able to snag promo cards at Lorcana’s booth during the event. These cards, a total of seven, have rocketed to the most valuable among Lorcana fans, which makes sense given they were only available at the show.

Elsa, Snow Queen is one of those elusive cards, which features the D23 Expo stamp at the bottom of the frame and the special Enchanted foiling process that wouldn’t be seen until the Rise of the Floodborn expansion.

3 Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor

D23 Promos - $1,208.39

Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor D23 Promo by Nicholas Kole

One of the coolest cards to be released in The First Chapter, this Dreamborn card features the iconic mouse dressed up in a handsome and roguelike outfit, ready to take on any foe with his little scissor-blade.

Since this, too, is part of the D23 promo release, this version of Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor is the first Lorcana card to break $1,000 on the list but is certainly not the last. These promo cards also come with a fancy first edition logo, letting collectors know that even if they Mickey Mouse for another event, there’s only one printing that came first.

2 Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist

D23 Promos - $1,300.00

Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist D23 Promo by Marcel Berg

One of the most memorable villains from classic Disney films, Captain Hook has staked his claim as one of the most valuable cards in the game, particularly the D23 promo of the card. This version of Hook comes down quickly at just one ink and can target down any vulnerable cards your opponents play early in the game.

You can use this cheap version of Hook to shift into a more powerful iteration of him, but if you’re playing with the D23 promo, you might want to rethink who you’re shifting into.

1 Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon

D23 Promos - $1,303.00

Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon D23 Promo by Luis Huerta

Stealing the spotlight of the most valuable Lorcana cards comes Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon. One of the most formidable and terrifying villains from Disney history, the sorcerer has transformed herself into a massive dragon, ready to take down any foe.

Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon secures her dominance on the board by banishing a character of your choice when she comes into play, making her a deadly finisher for any Ruby-based deck. The D23 promo version of Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon, and every other promo from the event are likely to maintain their value over time, making them solid investments if you happen to have a few in your collection.
